Sonic Story +

This is a Sonic skin mod I made. You probably all won't like it. XD
I didn't make any of the sprites, I just put them all together and made them compatible with Cave Story +.
Please note that these files will work on Cave Story + with new graphics set to 'ON'.

Re-drag all of the files from the zip, even if you installed the first version! FILES WERE CHANGED.

-INSTALLATION-

Unzip the file into a folder, then locate your Cave Story + folder. Drag these files into Base:
MyChar.bmp
Face.bmp
then go to your NPC folder and drag these files into it:
NPCDr.bmp
NPCRegu.bmp
NPCGuest.bmp
NPCMaze.bmp
WARNING, THIS WILL OVERWRITE THE REGULAR CAVE STORY SPRITES! BACK THEM UP FIRST!

The eggman sprite's MarioSonicFilms made were awesome.
However MY eggman is better.
Oh, and the sonic sprite's were just resized into the + version. not that efficient.

 

They basically were resized, but they still look good in-game. I also added coloring to them depending on what Sonic you play as. I just beat Ballos in a run with this mod.

Classic Sonic - Easy
Modern Sonic - Normal
Some kid's purple Sonic recolor - Hard
Greyscale/Ghost Sonic - Halloween

I did work very hard on the mod, so I need some feedback. Has anyone else tried it out?

 

I did just make a +sonic advance version so you're welcome to use that, and recolor it if you want.
I say please make/borrow some more sonic stuff, I like them.

All these SPRITE mods
I prefer full mods, I thought this was going to be one when I looked at the thread title.

 

I uploaded the new update! This version includes Knuckles as Chaba, and Jack as Tails.
I built the Knuckles and Tails sprites off of Sonic's base sprite.
Redownload and replace the sprites with the new ones from the zip!

 

SUGGESTION: Turn Curly into Tails instead. That would be extremely fitting for the Labyrinth.

I'm afraid that tails would not fit the role of curly, not just because of gender swapping confusion, but also because of everything else man.

 

Bad AI, rarely helpful, kills enemies for you. That's three things.

 

I was thinking of making Tails into Curly actually, then I realized what a huge edit it would be, storywise and spritewise.

EDIT: If I can, Amy as Chaco in the next update!

 

I would think Rouge would be a funnier choice, but Amy is nice also.

 

Yeah, I suck at drawing Rouge, so no way could I make a sprite of her XD.

Do you plan on putting any actual text changes in the mod?

It would be nice if you were referred to as a hedgehog instead of a robot.
