[SOLVED] Native Controller Support On NXEngine-Evo?

Hello there,
I am looking into source ports of CS and I decided to use NXEngine-Evo for its native widescreen support and its feel over the original. That said, I attempted to play the game with an Xbox Series style controller and it doesn't appear to work. Is controller support not natively supported by NXEngine-Evo? If not, any way I can get that functionality through mods? If not, I know I can get controller support through the NXEngine core on RetroArch.

You're probably better off using doukutsu-rs rather than NXengine, it has more features, and is actively updated. I've also never had controller issues.

Thanks for the tip. Got it all working with a copy of the Aeon Genesis translation. I noticed that Doukutsu-rs does work with NXEngine Evo but it has a weird audio bug where the Victory theme and the Get Life Capsule audios were flipped. Very strange, but default Cave Story works great.
