Familiar music?

There is this music when you go to that old lady who wants her puppies.
I remember hearing the same music on a song on a radio? Is that possible?

Yes. The music is the traditional music (supposedly) for a Finnish dance called the Letkajenkka, which is based on a dance called just the Jenkka. Hence why the music is the theme music for the old lady named Jenka. :p

Bump.

The sound when you get a missile expansion or a life capsule sounds like the one used in the 2d metroid games.

I always wondered what the Jenka dance looked like
It seems to be some modified form of Congo Line. How bizzare.

Re: What

Jenka's theme is actually based off of some genre of finnish music or something, it's not original.

No one else knew this?

EDIT: Fab I found the unedited version of your video.

Apparently the song we know as jenka's theme is actually called Letkis. It's of finnish origin.

Re: What

Edit: I was going to say it was called Letkajenkka and not Letkis, but apparently either name is correct.

Re: What

So, now this probably leads to a discussion of Jenka's nationality?

Re: What

That last bit of info wasn't news I thought?
Ballos is also a type of dance.
