I recently finished doing these two cave story songs on Mario Paint Composer (uploaded in high quality):

Mischievous Robot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZkPCIoLGeQ&fmt=18
Labyrinth Fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3-xD9OeS7I&fmt=18

I also found these others on youtube done by other people that were decent:

On to Grasstown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhJ_rLnZqc0
Meltdown 2 (Sand Zone): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTCyVLUFqI0
Running Hell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYlrTN7aiD8
Last Battle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE5aKkUKJ2k
Main Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWIFGOHhrm4
Eyes of Flame: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOt1KHpQjdY

There are a lot of them that haven't been done, so consider Mario Paint Composer as an option! If you end up doing one, post here with the link

I would make stuff in mariopaint personally, but i find the program still quite limiting. I must admit it is easy to use, but it loses out in capability to organya maker.

Nice job though, good stuff.

[edit]: Also did you make these by ear? Because I have all the original orgs for all of the songs in cavestory (so does SP, who might try to come and post a link after I've already posted one). An .org file is the file used for all the music in cavestory, which can be opened with organya maker. Pixel made it, and released it being the nice guy he is.

Yeah, MPC is extremely limiting because (1) 5-note limit, (2) limited number of instruments, and (3) limited range of pitches for each instrument (2 octaves). But that's kind of why I like it, it's a challenge to work around the limitations and do something so that it sounds good. You can get quite a lot of effects by messing around with different combinations of instruments and with volume control

There seems to be a save option, can you upload the files by any chance?

You can "save" it, but only to a .txt format that is compatible to be played only in MPC. If you want an mp3 version, use an online youtube downloader. I don't currently release my actual .txt MPC-compatible files to the public - unless you msg me with a good enough reason :p As for the other videos that were not created by me (which is most of them), you would have to ask the uploader.

I meant the .txt files since you can't play mp3 files in MPC. So nevermind.

Great job on your work, King. They will be added to my favorites momentarily!
By the way, nice job on the Well of Souls midi's. Didn't know anyone else was a fan of that game either ^^;;

I tried making Balrog's theme in MPC, but failed miserably.

I've just heard these, and I have to say this is pretty awesome.

My favorite 3 (of the ones you've done so far) would have to be mischievous robot, on to grasstown, and running hell.

I've had some experience with MPC and I can say that you have done a really good job here.
