Low quality video games

I have recently noticed how some video games look and play much worse than those released 5 years ago.

Compare 2013:






To 2008:

 

You'd be better off just calling it shitty video games.

Now here's a game that's perfectly comfortable with showing some PS1-graphics on the Wii, featuring an opening scroll with a bored lady for 5 minutes who promply gets blown apart by bouncy styrofoam bricks. Other highlights are sliding midgets, even more harmless bricks flying about and the abillity to drink a potions. Oh, and despite it looking like acient it still has crazy loading times.

 

I really stopped caring about Triple-A titles because of this.
More often than not, it's just a big cashcow.

I don't have a current gen console anymore and probably won't get getting one next gen.

 

My parents always get Mac computers because the things last forever and we don't have to replace them much cause they're reliable.... So it's a bit of a pain to find games. I also bought myself a Macbook for school. We used to have a Wii because my parents wanted to buy something the whole family could enjoy but THAT got stolen...
Long story long, I don't have the spending money to buy consoles, and I always have to look around to find games that work on Mac so I've got a lot of Steam games and a lot of the Humble Indie Bundles. And for the reasons this thread brings up, I'm not all that interested in Triple-A titles or consoles anyways. But it's not like there aren't any good games coming out! Most of the ones I do find are great.
