• Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

So. A Cave Story-esque game was released some time ago in Japanese... but now it's in English, thanks to AGTP. It's really cool, yet I can't figure out to save, heal myself, and I also can't figure out why part of the patch doesn't work for me(most of it does). So, without further ado,

Yup, tis I already know (Being stuck part way through it...)but unfortunately, the editor wasn't translated ;_;

I can help out with small thingymajigs (Might even do a guide if I finish it (BIG IF)) and if you want to save, get 10 coins then go left one screen from the start. The shop there has a rom for 10 coins, equip that rom and talk to the elder. To heal you need to load a save, obtain a life gem or get the exp bar full (Easy with a long life bar, I have 3 gems so far )

EDIT: Shouldn't this be in the gamers lounge? If so could this be moved?

Well, so far I've figured out:

Up: Jump, Navigate Menus
Down: Enter Building, Leave Building, Set can on pedestal, Navigate Menus
Left: Walk Left, Navigate Menus
Right: Walk Right, Navigate Menus
Spacebar: Use primary weapon, select an option from a menu
M: Use sub weapon, exit hand scanner data
Esc: Quit
F1: Pause, unpause
F2: Access inventory, exit inventory
F3: Access ROMS, exit ROM menu
F4: Access MSX, exit MSX

I hope these can help you.

P.S.: NOOB! :D

Check my guide in my thread in the gamers lounge, there is a manual and a quick guide to getting in the ruins! That should help you get started with the game, but as I said, I'm not that far, so the guide gets updated as I go, so if it catches up with me then it may not get updated alot

Thanks for making that guide, Cookie. Helped me a lot.

Which guardian are you talking about? The double-headed snake, or other? I'm currently stuck with Sakit. :D

I really hope someone sees this and can lend a hand. First off, I know absolutely nothing about html, so I dunno how to conceal my text. So...********************POSSIBLE SPOILERS*********************

Hope that did the trick and scared some people off. Anyway, I'm in the Temple of Moonlight and think I may have a bug in my game. I first noticed a problem when I read the weird-shaped tablet that should serve as a grail transfer point; it's the tablet that tells me I'm in the Temple of Moonlight. Anyway, I can't transfer here, ever. None of the numbers 0-9 work. Then in the next room, I got the ice cape. I wasn't really sure what purpose it served, but then I read the tablet one room below. The room flashes all sorts of bright colors and your health goes down every second you're in the room. The tablet says something like "It's hard to survive in this heat without ice protection," or something to that effect. But even after I get the ice cape, I can't stay in that room without dying. So, is my game screwed up, or am I just mistaken about the transfer point tablet and the function of the ice cape?

Thanks for any help.

hmm, Somehow I think it is the alternate side of the temple of sun? If so I think you can only use the grail in that alternate place to transfer to other alternate versions of levels.

Saw some people said something like "I can't understand the Cave Story Script is there some way to doing it without 'Programming Skills'?" It's Script and its MUCH simpler than a Programming Language so its NOT a Programming Language.

I think its very dumb to say something like that! Sorry :D

Nearly same for here; You don't need any HTML Knowhow, its BBCode...
Its simple, anyway there are Icons to click on to make it...
I don't think its hard to click on a few Icons :D
It's NOT HTML! :D

The Ice Cape should be protection for only lava.
If you should look closely You might see some Anubises flying around that room, and if You look again YOu might spot a treasure chest or a book somewhere.
And You kinda need to get that book or your health will go down...
