It's been a joke between me and my friends since 3 years ago, but it could be possible.

And if it is spherical, then how many centimetres is its radius?

well, r would <= 100tc, neh?
if the universe has existed for 14.5 billion years, then the largest radius it could have would be 4.34699064*10^20 centimeters.

I say it's cubical, with the dimensions 8x8x8 inches, so that it can fit into a box.

Oo oi.

Psh, you've got it all wrong..
The universe is a 738926486557790863449217023466hedron!!
{Shapes with over so-and-so sides get numbers instead of names. EX: 100hedron, or something like that...}

-gon is a twodimensional object (number of lines). What you wanted to say is -hedron (number of faces). [/nitpick]

The universe is clearly π-dimensional Klein bottle.

I'd have to say it's spherical because there's the big band theory yeah? and the universe is expanding constantly because of it.

Actually, I don't think I have any thing to back it up but you'd imagine the universe to spread out at an equal velocity thus, making a sphere. I guess it would be weird if it expanded in a way that it would become a 738926486557790863449217023466hedron.

Oh yeah, where The Universe was created with the snapping of a rubber band?
I wonder how big the band was. And if I can create new microscopic universe by snapping regular-sized rubber bands...

No, you are not God, Raptor Jesus, Chuck Norris or any other old meme. You can't.
But it would make sense for the universe to be a disc shape, like solar systems and galaxies.

Ah, yes, but is it expanding in a perfectly spherical shape?
It could just as easily expand as a
738926486557790863449217023466hedron....

If the edge of the universe wasn't expanding at an equal speed at each part, it most likely end up as a sort of...Ovular shape? Actualy what do you call a sort of 3d oval?...Ovular sounds like somekind of reproductive organ.

Iono, that was one of my first ideas, but I scrapped it because I couldn't think of the name for a 3D oval XD

Anyways, who says the universe is expanding like so?
Maybe certain parts stick out more than others. Galaxies and such.
We'll probably never know..
Be mind blowing if we did. I mean, can you imagine the edge of the universe?The Edge Of Existence Itself.

Well there's the big bang theory which basically a theory of creation, but with the entire universe. I think the theory is that the big bang doesn't stop, meaning that universe is constantly expanding. There are also so some theories about how the universe will surely come to an end if it expands too fast or slowly.

Well if it was in the shape of somekind of 738926486557790863449217023466hedron it would have to expand in a pretty wierd way.

Heh, reminds me of this one quote I have in my database. Wait... Here it is: "I am a christian and I believe in the big bang. God spoke and BANG! it happened. Pretty clear."

Anyway, I believe (for real this time) that there is no way to talk about the "shape" of the Universe. From that little I can understand about The Big Bang Theory... ahem, the Big Bang theory, I believe that the Bang itself only created the Universe's matter, the space that this matter occupies has already been here. Although this space might be in the shape of 738926486557790863449217023466hedron... Well, crud.

Seriously guys, I think the universe is in a disc shape, since that seems to be the trend with stellar groups.

Somehow... I start to believe that the universe is actually yoyo-shaped, or probably chocofudgecookie(CFC)-shaped, and revolves around a bigger body which is octopus-shaped, along with seven other bodies which follow their own orbits. The "universe" is just the name for one of the vastly-huge-while-being-not-too-small-too orbital entities.
