is quote actually break falling

i always wandered why he can take falls from highest edge to the ground and take it like it's nothing
while the same time he crash from falling in first cave to king and toroko
and after 4 years of cooking got a conclusion
it was
- he actually breakfall his falling

He extends his legs then close them once he land (kind of) maybe that is how advanced japanese anime robots do so

the reason it looks like his walking spirits is the game not finished

- he crashed from falling in the cutscene because he was busy listening to kazuma and sue transmission. it kinda malfunction his system

& his green antenna damaged in this accident

Now someone has to make a mod where Quote takes fall damage, like how it's done in Bubsy.

 

The beginning of Mimiga Village is the only place where Quote takes fall damage. The only other unique thing around that time is the door enemy. Could there be any connection? Also, it does make sense to think of Quote having some mechanism to brace (haha) for impact that he for some reason failed to use here. Perhaps because it was unexpected for the door to open out into a sheer drop? (It technically doesn't, but the 'floor' leading up to the door when you go back to the First Cave can be interpreted as difficult-to-scale terrain precariously leading to a cave opening in the side of a cliff, or such.)

Somewhat tangential, but I've always thought that the transmissions were only being shown to the player - it was a message sent between the computers Sue and Kazuma were using, and Quote wasn't intercepting it or anything.

i can say that quote in some parts walk without the player permission
like - before the game start
-when kazuma tell him to get in (and do unspeakable activities )
aaand the credits, he showed some emotions and positions that we couldn't see during the gameplay
