Ikachan 3DS Eshop

Ikachan for 3DS just came out on the eshop. Discuss.
My opinions and stuff of it:
1.I downloaded it, and beat it in about 30 minutes, its not really as longer as i thought it would be, its just a few longer path's and stuff.
2.The translation they added is pretty funny. "Cod-dangit Johnny!" But they should of made the sign to the death area not so obvious. I liked it when it said "Curiousity killed the cat..."
3.In a NiCALiS twitter photo, it showed virtual boy mode, how do i get it?

 

I refuse to play any Ikachan remake that uses Johnny as the main character's name.

 

It looks rather nice, though i cant download it, cause FUCKING INTERNET BULLSHIT, but yeah. And virtual boy mode sounds gross, the visuals in virtual boy were absolutely horrid, ever want the entire world to be RED?

I'm gonna have to side with Doors here. Calling him Johnny is pretty stupid. I just really don't like the direction NICALiS takes all this stuff in their translations.

What is there to see in this port other than a different translation? Why pay money for a version that might have a few new things, but has a tremendous drawback, and you can play a version for free that doesn't have that drawback?

 

I looked at a video of it and it says "Swim Ikachan" as with the original. Is the word Johnny used elsewhere? Because it seems like a bit of an overreaction to one line of dialogue.

Anyhow I heard that Ikachan means Squid Kid or something along those lines. I believe Ika by itself means squid.

 

Well yeah there are other reasons, like the fact that it's just a port and the fact that it's still just a fifteen-minute project Pixel made in his spare time(?) that you now have to pay for.

Heh, i just realized people are complaining they called ikachan the squid johnny most of the time, but no one is complaining that in all of the versions a star is named ben

No, it say's "Swim, Ikachan!" in the beginning, and when you break through the rock and find ben, it say's "Heres Johnny!". then when you beat the game, it say's "Coddangit Johnny".

 

Nicalis sure likes to insert stupid movie/TV quotes that make no sense in Pixel universes, huh

To be honest, it's easier to just ignore the things you don't like. Or to simply not download the E-Shop version
