Iambic pentameter chat

I think that you all know the drill by now.
If you have made haikus and limericks.
This thread is just another one of those.

 

This idea is intriguing to me.
It's really a shame it never took off.
So I write this post to give it a bump.

 

I don't believe that quite fits in the form.
Line one has nine instead of normal ten.
The other two feel awkward just a bit.
It's harder than it seems; that's what I find.

Maybe you are reading incorrectly?
I can't do Iambic pentameter.

 

Well, I pronounce idea as only two.
I also say the emphasis was wrong.

 

Indeed it may be emphasized quite wrong,
But you'll not say worse things about my words.
In syllables they matched the needful ten.
