I'm in class now, so I can't watch with sound, but I'm guessing it's making fun of how so many pop songs use one of the 24 permutations of the I, IV, V, and vi chords almost exclusively?

That would imply modern bands could actually play in tune though >_> Guess that's why most of those songs were actually pretty good (or maybe that was just because they were mostly Australian
