I think there are a few "beginners guides" scattered in the Hacking/Modding subforum, so you might wanna check those out. Also, I would recommend just making a small and probably not very good "crash course" mod just to get used to CE or SW, and TSC concepts, before you start anything major.

Go back to the tribute site and dowload Cave Editor, it should be uunder downloads. Noxoid's guide is pretty much all you need for information after that.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD SUE'S WORKSHOP.
It doesn't have as many functions, and is harder to get off of.

I guess the only tip I can give is - never take up a huge project.

Before actually attempting a project, I'd suggest messing around and linking a few rooms together and such. Just experiment with doors, save points, a few text boxes, etc. just to get the hang of it for when you actually try to make something.

That's as far as I got, due to lack of mod ideas.

Thanks for all the help guys! Unfortunately, I can't get Noxid's begginer's guide to download, so I'll just use DB's.

i have a mod that i'm supposed to have put up a long damn time ago, but i'm procrastinating when it comes to actually testing it. for that matter, i haven't touched the "Cutscene Free CS" mod i'm making in even longer :)

really need to get back on that crap... but... GoldenEye. on N64 emulator. too much fun blowing brains out.

Dude, I have always wanted a cutscene-free version so bad and have always wondered where to get one. Finish it!
