im making a half life 2 cavestory and im wondering with red critters how do you change their health with a hex editor (or sues workshop) as the red critters are gonna be headcrabs in my mod
-Edit- whats a good sprite for combine as im not getting my own sprites

It's in npc.tbl and isn't there an NPC hacking guide somewhere around here?

thanks but how do u select a specific sprite or what codes are that sprite. if u know what I mean. and if anyone can make a sprite for a combine or somthing like that it would be appreatiated.

i dont have halflife so its gonna be on halflife 2 not 1

Well, i know how i edit npc values,
If you use CaveEditor, you can edit stuff like hp and damage (has a built in npc table editor, works for what your looking for)
But if you wanna stick to sue's workshop (cuz caveeditor edited exe's wont open with SW once u save) idk what you should do,

well guess what i suck at using hexeditors and dont know the decimal system thinngy and screwed up to cavestory files hehe

You don't know decimals?

Decimals are like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, etc.

Hexadecimals are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F, 10, 11, 12, etc.

OK, you've gotta know a bit about hexadecimal to hack Cave Story- so google it, and if you're too lazy to do that, you shouldn't be modding anyways.

Ok ive been doing some reasearch on the forum and other sites but i still cant find a way to locate the codes that I wont to see.

For hacks like this you need assembly.
