game play is choppy

not sure if this is appropriate for the forum but im not sure where else to ask.

ive been unable to get cave story to run smoothly at full screen on any of the settings. ive scoured google for solutions, updated drivers, looked through all driver settings, ect

machine is a sager np2090, windows xp 32bit, with an nvidia 8600m gt res is 1680x1050.

what could i be overlooking?

There are similar problems other members had which have been cited.

How about instead of scouring google for solutions, why not scour our forum for solutions? :p

metalogz, i failed to mention that i went through pages manually to see if i could find anything my search strings werent. do you have any suggestions?

Um, well, this may not be helpful, but you could just run it in windowed mode. You said that it only messes up in full screen, right?

lace i could but that wouldnt as enjoyable :p
ive also invested time in trying to figure out what exactly the issue is and refuse to give up. its probably something really simple.

Eh, run Task Manager while you play CS, and check how your memory and CPU usage is doing? Considering how small CS is that shouldn't be the problem, but ya never know...
