We are, at our own pace, working to redesign the forums to better suit our needs and to further utilise the functions of the updated version of the board code.

There will be times when we request input from the forum's members for a variety of issues, thereby we can tailor the format both to our ideals and those of the people who will be using the forums.

However, we are also open to suggestions so feel free to state any ideas you may have for the forums here.
We reserve the right to cherry-pick the best suggestions for implementation, and to respectfully decline anything we deem unsuitable, unworkable or simply insane.

Shirofan IS an administrator and has been one of the orginal four admins along with me since 2004. He's been away for awhile, but he's helping us with the forum restructuring process as well.

I'm reading your signature and I'd really prefer it if you didn't show so much hateful attitude toward administrator decisions. We are spending a lot of time to make these forums have all kinds of new features and improving the look and feel of the entire place.

If you have a problem with MetaSeraphim, straighten it out with her via private message. This forum is for contributing ideas for how to improve the forums, not flaming users.

I know I may sound like I'm complaining more than making suggestions, but...

I wonder if I'm the only one who cares about why the Gameflaws & Zen Gaming sections vanished? Sure, nobody used those sections in 2 years or more, but they still held some kind of significance, right?

At the very least, though, maybe they can only be shown to members signed up to those usergroups. Then again, that would be discrimination to guests who couldn't read them because they didn't have a member profile...

EDIT: Stratch this. I was still typing/revising this post when the announcement was made about this.

Anyway, as for a more likely to happen suggestion, the 'View Post' button in the CS skin theme could be the envelope image used for Sue's Letter.

I noticed some of the Admins' user titles now have ***** where the words 'Admin' or 'Forum' used to be. There weren't any accidental demotions, were there? Not that I'm doubting Shirofan's position, since Shirofan is forum member #1 on the profile pages...

By the way, around the time when the Spambot mass strike occured, I noticed Shirofan was online a few times, but this really has no actual relevance, so... Umm... My apologies for prying.

No.

But that is strange.

As far as I can tell the update reapplied the censorship of user titles without the exceptions based on usergroup.

Retyping it sorted it out though, without this I wouldn't have noticed.

Hmm, Yeah. That is odd. It wasn't like that a few days ago, I'm pretty sure. I guess I had better retype mine too as it now reads: MiraiGamer *****s *****

On the default template, you should chance the color of hyperlinks

It's hard to see those with the white text

You should change to a more clear color. ;D

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll see if I can change the hyperlinks to another recognizable color at some point. I've had a few requests to possibly use this current default template as an optional template since it doesn't look nice on lower resolutions. Instead, another template might be looked into at some point in the near future to replace the default one now.

keep the suggestions coming and we'll see if we can get them implemented.

*Shrugs*

This might be a bit far off and such, but I'ma get it off my chest...

"4. Fully coloured posts are not allowed in order to improve readability in all skins."

Changing/removal of colours unreadable in certain skins?
That way, colours couldn't be abused, and I could post in all green again!

It's really just easier if everyone doesn't do it. If you truly can't survive without posting text in a slightly different colour, counselling can be provided :)

This is a good point. I personally think it would be better if all skins just had the same "post background" color (black, preferably).

I think I might need counseling then, o.o;

But it was just a suggestion....
I thought that's what this thread was about...

Slighty? I'm offended D=
And what about DB and his red? {Don't take this as whining, either >.>;}
No one seems to really say anything about that, but I've had warnings and even edited posts {As in, they went in and removed the colour format..} to stop my green T.T;
And Dark Green seems read-able in all skins.....

I got DB to stop posting in red a while back, so no, no exceptions.

Twice? Because he re-started after the first time...

And what about just fixing the background of the threads/posts or unreadable colours...?
Too much? =/

Idea

I had an idea....
Wouldn't it help improve reading if I just bolded everything I coloured? ^.^?
Dark Green's already pretty easy to read in all skins....

He said he would only post in color in his Mod thread, then he went and said screw that and started full-time color posting again.

Hm... let's see...
Having different graphics is a mod! Amazing! and furthermore, it has even less to do with modding or hacking then with mods! And, wow, that ideas topic sure looks like a mod to me, don't you think?

you god damned condescending idiot.

you're not very good at arguing, are you?

Graphics is not a mod. it belongs in the hacking/modding subforum, because it is a modification of graphics, and that is where graphics belong.
Contradictory Much?

An actual MOD belongs in the mod forum, and anything that ISN'T belongs in the hacking/modding subforum.
The ideas topic is to post ideas for possible stuff for the mod.
Not a mod tho, is it?

think before you post, dipwad
