enemies on the island

what are the enemies on the island???
are they normally there?
how did they even get there?
are those frogs like massive or something? because we the small ones are like half the size of you!

seems weird like are they animals or something because they seem to big to be animals but kazuma has seen some animals apparently because he said he had reduced to feed on cockroaches (which was a joke but he said he would if he had to) so there must be some normal earth animals on there

 

Maybe Jenka's magic leaked into the animals, making them different?

Or maybe they were already that way, because she had to make a Layberenth to contain the Gaudies?

oh yeah i guess the gaudis were somehow natural inhabitants or something and some of them are friendly like chaba with his great whimsical star

alright so @Serri's post about an ecosystem got me thinking about the food chains/webs in cave story

First Cave:

Critters ↔ Bats (they eat eachother probably since there's an even number of them and they aren't hiding from eachother)
Critters → Gunsmith
Bats → Gunsmith (what else would he eat)

Egg Corridor:

Beetles ↔ Behemoths (behemoths probably eat beetles normally but when the behemoths die the beetles act as decomposers)
Beetlees → Everything else in the corridor

Bushla- I mean Grasstown:

Jellies → Frogs
Frogs → Bats
Critters → Bats
Power Critters → Bats (why there are no bats and power critters near eachother i bet)

Sand Zone:

omae wa mou-

Labyrinth:

Gaudis → Gaudis

Waterway:

Fuzz Cores → Critters and Jellies, explaining why there are so few
Jellies → Critters
Critters → Fire Whirss (idk)

Outer Wall:

Hoppies → Night Spirits and Gatorboys
Night Spirits → Quote

Plantation:

Green Beans → Drolls (why else are they even there? just to bump into the poor mimigas?)
Red Flowers → Desperate Mimigas

Final Cave:

there are more than just gaudis in the labyrinth...
maybe they eat those giant moving blocks
or the purple critters with their massive damage shots

Gaudies eat Mimiga.

But also you have to consider that the Guadi are cockroaches, and cockroaches will literally eat anything

 

Guadi eat Mimigas specifically. They don't eat Critters.

True, although there is no real evidence that they are Roaches, aside from the sprite.

(Although, Pixel probably made the sprite to look like cockroaches.)

 

What if the island floated up from the ground and took the wildlife with it?
