Apparently there was this game that Pixel was involved with back in 1998 called Doggy Wyvern.

It looks pretty damn awesome to be honest. But it was never finished, and never released.

The surprises never end. I wonder just how far back his game aspirations go, considering his style is already developed here. He really likes his shooty games! :chin: There are some beta screens I haven't seen before too, like Specsrog.

On a slightly-related note, this made me feel like going back and reading Ame Manga again. It's probably incidental, but the things in Ame's lunchbox reminded me of the Negativus Legatia.

Well this game wasn't solely developed by Pixel. At least I don't think it was.

What's interesting is that the graphical style is very reminiscent of pixel, so he had to have had a large impact on the project.

You mean Doggy1.pmd bundled with PiyoPiyo? I found a conversation about Doggy Wyvern in Pixel's old BBS entries regarding that:

> あとPiyoPiyoのDoggy1.pmdって Doggy Wyvernで使われてたんですか?

いいえ。PiyoPiyoでためしに打ち込んで見た曲です。
According to the Google translation the song and the game are unrelated.

The motion of what seems to be a dragon-like-boss is very fluid, it looks like a cool boss fight. But how did the creator of that sprite make it so fluid?

Because it isn't one sprite, it is a massive collection of separate sprites working together. Each of those leg and neck sections are individual sprites, as are the back, feet, and head.
