Character keeps running to the left

Hello everybody!
Since I have the German keyboard I wanted to switch the y and z commands. I accidentally clicked on the "x-axis" and "y-axis" buttons, so I gave them useless keys. But afterwards the character won't stop looking up and running left. How do I reset the key controls?
Ps: I have a mac

Are you playing the freeware version or Cave Story+?

I think you misunderstand. There are two main versions of Cave Story on Mac: a freeware version (Cave Story) and a paid version (Cave Story+) one of which you are playing. Which one is it?

 

I haven't paid anything for it. So it must be the free version

 

Alright, in that case I won't be able to be much help (I've never used the freeware Mac version myself) but I'm sure if you wait around a while someone will be able to help you out. Sorry.

 

Maybe you can tell me where the program saves everything?
I tried to delete and download it again, but apparently everything, even the progress ingame is saved...

 

Both versions are free if you know where to look ))))))))))

 

I can do this for freeware CS, but only the PC version. I have no idea where button assignments are stored on the Mac version.
