Cave Story Text Dump

So I can’t find a decent text dump of the game, which sucks cause now I got to sit down and do it all. I’m up to Malco in Grasstown so far… does anyone know if someone all ready did all this work before me?

Here is an example of the text:

MIMIGA VILLAGE

Q rushes back into Mimiga Village and tells everyone that Toroko has been kidnapped. Starting with Mahin

MAHIN
“*chomp chomp*”

“What?"
"Toroko’s been kidnapped?"

"Well, that’s no good."
"Now the only girl left in the village is Sue…"

…Pervert… Must go tell someone else! King! Find King.
Q finds him in the Assembly Hall.

"The key to Arthur’s house…"
"I thought there was at least one other one made."
"Blast you, Toroko, acting like you didn’t know…"

"Well, mabye Jack knows where to find it…"

Hmm. Seems like he all ready knows.
Q decideds to go find Jack.

I put what I think Quote is thinking in Italics. It will help me later when I convert it into a comic. I’ll keep you all posted.

 

Okay hold up there. From that picture it makes it look as though you're playing through the whole game again. If you want a fast text dump just get Sue's Workshop and look at the scripting for each map. It does have some extra stuff from previous releases and whatnot but it's a helluva lot more efficient than playing through the game.
