Cave Story Skin Change

As is now, the cave story dark/ light skins have a few tags beside the thread to show which thread is hot/ cold/ locked etc. as should be expected. Now, I have a tiny problem with two of the tags

- The moveing curly brace tag is implimented for both hot threads with and without new posts
- The moveing quote tag is implimented for both threads with no new posts, and threads that you have posted in.

It sort of bugs me... and it should be easy to change:

- Have one of jenka's puppies moveing to represent a hot thread with new posts
- Have a bat represent a thread with no new posts

you could have any charecters placed threre, really.

Anyway, here we should decide if:

1) this should be changed in the first place
2) which charecters should replace what type of thread, and why?

Once we figure that out, I'll present this to a mod... and see about getting this changed.

Also, I see this all the time, but I don't really pay much attention to the thread icons. I look mostly at the bolded titles to see what's new and what's not, so it's not really a huge deal.

I'm not planning to make any decisions, I'm just going to present the idea to the admin(s) in hopes of aproval.

And since when is your opinion the ulitimatum for the entire community's decision?

Your right, and I'm sorry. I sort of jumped on your opinion there, and I thought you were implying that it shouldn't be done because you don't think it's right.

On anoter note, I'm compialing a .psd file of all the charecters, and some critters. I have done: Kazuma, and the blue bat. The way I think this should work is first we can decide which of the tags should be replaced, then people will vote on their favorite charecter. When the two charecters are finished, I'll make a .gif file of the charecters that are chosen. Then I'll submit this to an admin for approval. Sound good?

 

If you want to change something without it looking wonky, I suggest keeping it the exact same, except for increasing the number of frames and adding a blinking "Hey!" bubble in the middle of the respective character.
