Cave Story II

I'm workin' on a sequel to Cave Story (4th endin' mod). The mod begins withtoroko head in' back to her house, only to find another Mimiga unconcious right next to the teleporter. when he regained conciousness, he utters Toroko's name. Considerin' how she never met him before, she starts askin' questions to the Mimiga. His only reply before passin' out was to check his bag for a gift. When Toroko finds her gift, she looks to find a locket with the number 34 on it with a note. It turns out that the Mimiga was Toroko's human childhood friend. I'll give you screenshots when I get to work on the Beta.

It might be better to pick a name that's less likely to have been used before, such as "The Untold Tower Story"

So? I'd recommend using CE, because it has more features, and it's easier to use.

 

Also, I recommend you do as LeithLeif said above and stop double posting, or else Noxid will eat you alive. Sometimes the mods and admins will cut you a bit of slack when you do it on your own threads, but it's really not a good idea to do it if it's only been an hour or two, and you don't have much to add. There's an edit button for a reason.

3. Still tryin´ to figure out how to use somebody else´s sprite instead of Quote´s.

First of all, check if the game folder isn't 'read only'. You can simply launch Cave Editor, click Options and then check the 'Remove read only status from files'.

2. I don´t know how to use my face pics instead of the other ones.

Go into Game Settings in CE, mark the 'Remove (c) Pixel requirement for images' and SAVE and you can edit Face.pbm

3. Still tryin´ to figure out how to use somebody else´s sprite instead of Quote´s.

Same as 2, but you edit MyChar.pbm

4. Also tryin´ to figure out how to make my own cutscenes.

First of all, check if the game folder isn't 'read only'. You can simply launch Cave Editor, click Options and then check the 'Remove read only status from files'.

That doesn't work for me, just right-click the mod folder, click 'properties', and click the 'read only' box until it isn't checked or filled, then click 'OK', click apply to all folders and subfolders' if it prompts you, and you're done!

Also, really, copy the text from your 2nd post in a row, edit the first post, put the copied text in the post, and delete the second post in a row, this process is called MERGING and you should do it before you get a mod or admin angry.

 

okay come on now, this is getting a bit excessive. He's already been warned not to double post, and he hasn't done it since then. I already merged the offending posts so I don't really understand why people are still harping about it.
