Cave Story: Cliffside mod - v1.5 Beta Demo

The fixed version of my mod, Cave Story Cliffside mod is here! Keep in mind it doesn’t have everything finished yet, but you can play to the end. But anyways, play what you can!

Story:
Cliffside Mod about 3 friends who travel from their floating city to the deserted land below, known as the Surface. But, when they get seperated, will they all return? If so, the same? You play as Lea, fighting against monsters and other enemies to find your friends.



Similarities to Cave Story:
<Also takes place on a floating island.
<About three friends who travel to the surface world.
<Levels are mostly resurrected from Cave Story. Including weapons.

I played it, and im sorry, but its bbaaaaaadddd, here is what i think is bad:
-I dont know what is going on in the intro
-That girl is a recolor of misery
-That textbox is an eyesore, i had to change the color in paint to read the text.
-The tiles in outside look really bad
-How do you get to the surface so suddenly?
-The pooh black reskin is too hard for the polar star and a few HP
-I am REALLY not following the story
-I went into the destroyed egg corridor, and was able to teleport back to arthurs house, go into mimiga village,
and play through the whole first part with the kidnapping and all.

Hey I have a question.

What's a Paridox?

 

A paridox, a paridox, a most ingenious paridox,
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha,
This paridox.

 

If it was paradox with a 'a', then it would mean something totally different, but in this case it's the name of a character.

 

A person's name can also be a thing. Lily, Dayton, Doors...
But I do like Pari instead of Para in any case.

 

It's suposed to sound like Perry, but I wanted something different, like Pari, they sound the same but spelled different. Besides that, I'm working on my game to make it better.


Edit:

This mod, even though it is not released, is not coming out for a while now. My laptop which I do all my mods on died and refuses to start up. The newest version of the mod was on there, so now until I get it fixed, no mod, so I'm sorry but it may be a week until I can do anything.

 

Solution:
USB - All files
Computer - Backup for USB

 

Well, thats the plan but it won't go to the desktop so I have to probably get a technician to fix it. Then I take your solution.

Edit:

I think my hard drive is shot. If that the case, then I might not be able to save it. My brother is doing something about it as I type. I hope this works, fingers crossed!

 

In case your brother can't get what he's doing to work (or if what he's doing is more time-consuming or risky), then you could do what I did with my old laptop every time the hard drive crashed and boot it into Puppy Linux and extract the files using that.

Just a suggestion.

I don't think that will help restore your hard drive, just a heads-up to your brother

 

Well, if you have the right equipment, he can put the hard drive into a hard drive enclosure, (I think that it's name....). Basically if you hook it up right with the necessary wires and output/input, then using a computer attached to the enclosure, than he can extract the data.

Edit:But, he doesn't have the right kind, so we got one from Amazon, but it could be days until we get, even if it does work, because it may or may not. If so, then I'll be back to work in a week or so, if not, then this project I'm putting off until further notice. I didn't do many edits from the last time I put it on here, but I rally don't want to fix the problems I had before. It took me long enough to do it as it is.

Oh, yeah, he is probably mad that he has to fix the computer, although I cannot do it myself. And he tried puppy Linux I think, but the problem with that is the disc in the hard drive isn't spinning. (Yes, there is a disc in the hard drive) Believe it or not! -For those who don't know!

 

Thomas I guarantee you most of us know there's a disk in a hard drive.
And uhh if it's not spinning a hard drive enclosure won't do much help.

 

Got the enclosure, but I'm busy and it requires a windows computer, and I have one.


Edit:The disk is spinning inside, but the problem is the file explorer crashes/doesn't respond. Fixed one problem but now more problems with I/O device error.
