Cannot configure gamepad

Hi, I want to play Cave Story with a gamepad but I can't configure the buttons in the options menu. When I save the configuration the buttons stick to the impractical default settings. I tried this with two different gamepads, Gravis Pro and Saitek Rumble.

Any help would be nice

 

Are you actually using DoConfig?
What OS do you run?

 

Yes, doconfig on windows 7

 

If the normal one doesn't work for whatever reason just get JoyToKey and set up a CS control scheme.

 

Thanks, I did a different installation, and now it works. I had the german version and it worked with the deluxe version
