Ok, I'm relatively new to hacking, but this is quite easy to handle.

But I'm having a problem @_@ I have bottomless pits in my levels, but it means if I put the land too low and walk down that far, it kills you for no reason. Is there a way to make an event only trigger if you fall of an edge of the screen? If not oh bum, I need an alternative way of doin the pits :/

There is no way to trigger an event when you leave the screen. However there are entities that trigger only when you cross a certain vertical or horizontal point (72 I think? I really don't know them by heart by look for v trigger and h trigger...)

You could use those. They'll probably have the effect you want.

As for the dying bit, the map's max size is something around 360 tiles (whew, this stuff is getting old and buried under a bunch of other memories...) Past this point, you end up in scrap (which the game sets as water) and drown progressively.
