Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season -DT

Any more ports of cavestory were prohibited by pixel because he knew that if we continued porting that would get him in a serius situation with nintendo.

While I'm not 100% sure of the truthiness of above comment, what is true is that we can't make ports as we don't have the source.

Emphasis mine. Prohibiting ports due to possible legal issues and putting ports on hiatus in order to emphasize something else are very, very different things. That's why I said I wan't sure of the truthiness of what you said, but the point still stands that nobody here is likely to make a port.
