I played this game (all 6 episodes) a year or two ago. Pretty good, I suppose. I won't spoil the ending (well, endings, but this applies to all of them), but... it MAKES NO SENSE.

Yeah. From what I've heard in the previews it sounds like they're trying to do the music right this time... with nice full sound, and not percussion-free MIDIs :muscledoc:.

Re: Cave Story 3DS Announced! I wouldn't be too optimistic about the game's success given the sort of comments you see on the CS3D trailer on YouTube. Then again... it is YouTube. About a third of the comments are people (unfamiliar with Cave Story) saying how 'liek lol teh graphix are fail'...

The first time I beat Cave Story, I'll admit I cheated to get through Sanctuary (yeah, I already knew about all the Sanctuary requirements beforehand - that's what you get for reading the TVTropes page before you play the game), and I cheated to refill my health between the Misery-Doctor-Undead...

The Cave Story 3D music sounds pretty awesome. It seems more fitting for the '3D' incarnation of the game. And it's a big improvement on the Wii music :)

Re: Cave Story 3DS Announced! It isn't that bad, but it's jarring after coming from the PC version. The problem is that on the internet, 'Huzzah' became iconic of not only Balrog, but Cave Story in general as well. Plus it sounds like the Kool-Aid Man.
