Your loading screen has to be relevant to your mod. It must either visually introduce your mod, act as mini-precursor for your mod, or foreshadow part of your mod. This requires some basic knowledge of what your mod is about.

If you want good comedy then learn some subtlety. Don't deliver your material like a brick to the face. Also build up to jokes. Don't just rely on one-off gags. Never overuse fourth wall jokes or they will lose impact. Toilet humour isn't funny. Last of all Adam Sandler movies are an example of...

What happened in your FIRST hell run ?

B2 kept destroying me until one day I decided at the tail end of a bubbler-only run that if I made it to the end of B2 without full health then I should backtrack, heartspawn, and do B2 all over again until I got it right. Kept dying at heavy press until I dropped 80% of the dodging and weaving...

Try setting compatibility mode to windows 98 as well. That is normal. Cave Story is meant to work that way.

    Ballos things

I really think that the core existing beforehand with the ability to counter Ballos' magic, and Jenka somehow able to discover that is far too unlikely to ever be feasable. Either the core was created by Jenka, or it existed and was repurposed, with the former being the most likely scenario.

    Ballos things

Actually there is no implication that she built the island. The hell exposition said that she "confined" Ballos on the island. Whether the island was floating or not before Ballos' confinement there is subject to question.

    Ballos things

Ballos causes the island to fall, but Ballos' power is suppressed by the core. I suspect that either his desire to die manifests as "lets ram the island into the ground", or his magic naturally negates the island's natural ability to levitate. Take your pick. The core was probably created by Jenka.

    Ballos things

Merik for the friendly guy. The red flowers are likely tied to Ballos' magic, given they can be controlled by the crown.

    Ballos things

Ballos just wanted to die. Anything that didn't push that agenda wasn't worth his time. Misery likely got Ballos to create the crown because she probably had next to no magic of her own (note the lack of levitation in the ending, of course I am making an assumption here), and Ballos had heaps of...

    Ballos things

The crown is tied to Ballos' magic. In theory the more crowns there are the weaker each crown's power would be. Also I should note that Ballos has no direct control over his magic, so I really doubt that he intended to curse Misery. The going theory is that the core is a suppressor or...

My and Your ideas for Nicalis

Clickteam Fusion is only faster because you don't have to write your own game engine. In the case of CS, the game engine already existed for 4 years before work on CSWii even started. A Clickteam Fusion rewrite would be a waste of time at this point. It's like selling your house, land, and car...

A simpler take on the above is: A leap year is a year that is divisible by 4, with exceptions that you may never live to see (the closest exception to the "divisible by 4" rule of thumb is the year 2100).

My and Your ideas for Nicalis

Competitive multiplayer does not suit Cave Story. The mario maker editor format is great for mario, but mario doesn't have to handle a proprietary scripting language for its practically non-existent in-game events. Using characters from other games as amiibo bonuses would require permission from...

A leap year is a year that is divisible by 4, excluding years divisible by 100 that are not also divisible by 400. So 2000 was a leap year (divisible by 400), and 2016 was also a leap year (divisible by 4, but not 100), but 1900 was not a leap year (divisible by 100, but not 400), and neither is...
