I split types animation as toons, anime and animation series. Cartoons = Random humour. Like T&J. And Garfield (toon, not comic) Animation Series = Seriousness (Captain Planet, Swat Kats) or non-random humour (Scooby-Doo) that are not based in Japan Anime = All animation made in Japan.
