It doesn't work all the time. And sometimes if you get too used to it, you stasrt creating things subconsiously. As in you know that you can drive the dream, but you don't realise that it's a dream (the first step is to realise that, generally).

Keep tapping Z while holding the left arrow key. That way you boost the fraction you leave the ledge and essentially move horizontally and land neatly on the opposite ledeg. This trick is used very often in Sacred Grounds B1 to save time.
