@Fire1052
10/10 because you're the man
@Immortalshippo
3/10 and I'll tell you why. I have no offense against you, but you're pretty much in like every single thread posting unnecessary and offtopic posts everywhere. You kind of remind me of Voidmage_lowell on his past years, but like, with...
The mod is doing fine. I just came back from visiting someone that lives far away. I just started working (more like redoing) this one zone. After I get things in order and finish up the map and TSC I'll be releasing the Alpha phase 2 to 5 people through private message. Don't keep your hopes up...
Oh my gods, I have this game. I used to play it years ago, and then I started playing it again for a bit, I have it on steam. It's a really fun game, but it's no where compared to the classic Unreal Tournament 1999. : >
Thanks. It's an old Cavestory Beta character made by pixel. I think he was some sort of shopkeeper, but in my mod there are multiples of him. I call em "Newts".
Alright, first off I want to say thank you for the tutorial, it means alot.
However, for some reason, the game won't start up, well it does, but when it plays music the game crashes. So I'll tell you what I did, in images:
Wait, what do you mean by
1.) Apply the assembly binaries (assembly.txt) first?
I didn't really know what that meant, due to my shitty understandings, but I was soo stoked right now that I just hit RunMe.bat. After doing so, I put in a org with a v2 drum, but the song is just silent. : <
Don't worry, the first demo isn't going anywhere. I can say right now that the demo will be out soon, but I can't give you a date, because I honestly don't know how long this will take.
I understand where you're going with this, and you have a great point. I guess I went too far with "raping cavestory", whatever. I'll just be quiet about it.
Don't think it's a hostile phrase. I have nothing against people who use asm hacks for their mods, just what I meant about "Raping cavestory" was the fact that there may be too many asm hacks that the whole mod would just feel like an ordinary game and not a mod. '~'
I know no one has done this...
It's been awhile since last update, but there wasn't anything exciting to show until now. (I guess) Now usually I don't like assembly that much and all that jazz, but I really wanted to at least do a few, unlike raping Cavestory to death with assembly. So what I wanted to do was change the title...
Thank you. I'll try to fix the notes a bit, suspect some changes if you ever stumble across a demo of my mod :p
If Path Of Ruin wasn't based on a evil setting, then the music wouldn't be good at all. But yeah, I did notice that I have been improving on my Org making skills. Just by a little...
I'm not the best at making orgs, as everyone knows, but I tried my hardest on this one, it's for my mod. The song's called "Confusion", pretty gay name but I couldn't think of anything else (At least its better than shop lmfao):
HURRFF DURRF CONFUSION
HUGE POST INCOMING
It's not hard making a mod that has some scary moments. It's all about the dialog, mostly. But the most important element that you need for a mod like this is the element mentioned by Yakkers. Ambiance. This is where the dissonance comes in; make songs that are similar to the...
I don't know, I'm just used to saying "<CLR<CLO<END" because I just like doing that.
But yeah... uh.. Here's a shitty drawing that I made of Quote.
(By the way, the sketchiness that I always have in my drawings is actually my art style. I always draw like this. Sorry.)
