The question rather is, why is the player deaf? as we cannot hear quote. Everyone else magically gets subtitles, which is rather convenient.

Well, I tried it out. Went into the B1 area, raced the rolling, then used it to get the temporary invincibility needed to get to the door past the death spikes. But then the door did nothing, so now i've reached the end of the mod, or i'm stuck, or it's a glitch.

Actually that room exists in the game and is possible to find. After all, that is the corridor where you fight b@lrog. It's just the doukutsu_original.exe has the wrong bg and tile set. Next release I'll be sure to only have one executable in the folder.
