Generally not really actually. Unless it's done with the intent to taunt avid ASM users. Challenging yourself to avoid ASM can be a fun puzzle sometimes and there can be some clever looking solutions at times.

Yeah see, I very much agree that people should do what they're good at, and shouldn't be nudged towards either ASM or TSC other than that I generally wouldn't recommend getting too deep into ASM if you are a first timer on modding. What I eventually care about is wether a mod is good or not, not...

I've heard that it's possible to add/replace fonts to doconfig but the problem is that you can't really have it select a font that is not in the list. I can't really edit doconfig to allow file browsing/free typing instead of having a list to choose from anyway, unless I made my own version...

Honestly I could try making a shitty tool to change it with but I don't have the motivation for it rn. There's a good chance you did something wrong though.

Open config.dat with XVI32 or a similiar hex editor and type the name of the font you wanna use like this

You have to replace the old font name away, if you delete it then there arent enough characters in the file.
