That's a difficult question. Pixel usually had saves in small, secluded areas, places meant to feel "safe". With manual saving, I think that's the best you can do, unless saves are specifically a part of the world you create. An alternative is automatic saving, but some people might not like...

I think "Of 2010" would be a good timeframe since we just got through that one.
