fraps is just ment for game recording i think thats why you can only do games

have you used fraps?? when a game is opens( it detects most of them ) it will show a counter of the fps in the corner and you press F9 to start recording and then F9 to stop, then you need to convert the video files after because there so massive :p no you cant do a certain area
