You downloaded the save files from the Tribute site? Did you also download the additional program that makes the files work with Plus? The files alone don't work with Plus, as it says on the page.

It's not stupid unless you didn't save first. But I took the blue robot's word and tried to avoid the Basil until I accidentally fell while trying to land a jump over the passage where it runs.
