Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.
In a perfect world I would've remembered how to make the event invincibility go away but alas.
Probably a better idea would have been to send the player towards a trigger, end the event and then continue once there, that would've given windows of being able to be hit.

I do not very understand the need to share WiiWare saves (if they can even be shared to begin with) but either way I wouldn't be too surprised if there also were some regional differences to prevent it.

I second this, not to be mean but it's pretty hard to be up for helping someone in a project if they have nothing to show (yet!) regarding their own skill in it.
Oh yeah the 1:1 expectation is a really good one and I have it too.
But for a game I've already played enough and enough I doubt I'll get more than a single playthrough out of it before I lose interest so the worth isn't really there for me.

If anybody asked me what version they should play I'd point them to the freeware version.
From what I heard the switch version might as well be the 'definite' version to play, but is notably the priciest.

Not to be rude, but what the real question is is why all of this needs to be here. As much as I enjoyed LS and regard it as one of the better mods out there I feel like this is pretty much outside drama and downtalking people that aren't even here (I think?).

In general there's not really a huge need for a CS+ port tbh, and not really an option for mods that mess with the game's code (instead of just the scripts) to begin with.
Besides, what do you intend to do regarding the higher resolution graphics from that version?
Wasn't Nisa only involved as far as publishing goes? I thought Nicalis was the developer on this.
I rarely see NIS do anything outside of RPGs to begin with anyway.
In terms of realism, not at all.
But I don't see why you would bind yourself to that boundary, if you wanna have the challenge be interesting for the whole run, it'd make more sense to either make all other weapons unobtainable, or give them very limited ammo to give you some more breathing...
What's the point of a limited ammo challenge if you can use weapons that don't abide this rule.
That said yeah, 200 shots between your Polar Star and Fireball isn't gonna be a fun time on a number of bosses.
In fact, if we assume we get 100 shots from the Polar Star and 100 from the Fireball...
I mean it's still fair to talk about what parts should use the fanmade or official translation if one were to make a mod like that but that just becomes a mostly translation vs translation talk and yknow

Jokes aside, if youre just starting out, mess around with the editor, make edits to existing maps, try playing around with entities, learn the script language and try to make new maps.
