Er.. Nothing in the game ever pointed to Ballos being able to predict the future, or knowning that Curly and Quote would kill him... And, I guess it's Ballos' idea of fun, being the "WRITHING BALL OF INSANITY" :D

XD Large Quantities...had to laugh at that one... Negative 127!!! Anyways, the Last Cave is apparently one big hot spot, and there's Magma {that's Lava before being exposed to the surface} all around, trying to get out... That could explain why the Last Cave can change....
