I found the best way to win this game, is to go with manga/really obscure stuff... Megaman Masters/Mavrick are actually good to try. I successfully beat it with Overdrive Ostrich in mind. It went through Boomerang Kuwanger, Spark Mandrill and Storm Eagle. (Storm's my favorite Maverick hands down.)
