You are just renaming the same old file, which just causes the game to crash. Making a new file with the name 'New.pxe' would just be empty, and wouldn't work. Am I missing or misunderstanding something, or is this just an early April fools prank?

Okay, seriously, with the (bad and) best ending, it's not too hard to imagine how he is. In the second ending, though: The only time we see him after the Boulder Chamber is in the credits, where he's nursing sick Gaudis in the Labyrinth. I can't come up with any theory, anything, right now, but...

Balrog was probably a creature Misery made to help her out in serving the Demon Crown wielder, or it may be possible Balrog was created by Jenka long ago to keep Misery company or something.
