Maybe you should switch to Minecraft modding.

This is only a small community, people lose interest in mods regardless of how much effort went into them - so quit trying to be overly ambitious. It obviously means a lot to people to be able to play as Sue. You don't have to do better than this, you should just finish what you started.

Any thoughts regarding the notability of mods though? I don't think that it's worth listing every mod that was ever created.

We should figure out notability guidelines for listing mods, and maybe make a wiki page on notability. Any ideas for what kind of guidelines we should have?
