I have similar specs to you and it runs fine. Had this issue with some games before, see if running in XP compatibility mode works. Could be a driver issue though, as they said before.

Yeah, I did a duel boot with my Windows 7 PC. I am currently moving my main files to it because Windows 10 is quickly becoming my favorite OS. But maybe that's just because I tend to automatically endorse new operating systems...got 8 the day it came out (big mistake.). Only time will tell...

I see where you're coming from, but Minecraft was meant to be a creative game from the start. A game about building. Hunger turned it more into a survival game, although you could just play beta if you REALLY REALLY hate hunger. Or creative mode.

True, true. They never should have added it to begin with. Of course, the reason was to make it more of a "survival" type game, and many of the 90's survival games had hunger in them (not that it made the games more fun.)
