It didn't work for me either, unfortunately. I'm saved in the First Cave right in the beginning of the game, so that's not really a big deal getting back to where I was (2 minutes of gameplay), but I don't know if that means anything with regards to what's causing the corruption or not.

I'm absolutely getting Cave Story 3D! Though, to be honest, it does feel a little lame that the first three games I'll probably own for the 3DS will be games I've already played extensively in years past (OoT, Star Fox 64, and Cave Story).

The original version of White actually does play in the WiiWare version, if you beat the Boss Rush mode. I haven't heard Toroko's Theme, though.
