Its made that way because tiles are a fixed shape and cannot be changed. Otherwise you would have a staircase isntead of a slope.

I'm gonna check the offset from jcys. o.o Edit - I went to offset 0x10e03 (It said offset 00010e03 but I tanslated it to 10e03) and its value is FE... I wonder what happens if I change it to 50? :p Edity - Erm... I just realised that if you put any value C6 and above at offset 10e03 the game...

If it were a missing tileset or npcset then the game wouldn't even have worked in the beggining. And it would've been a Cave Story style game crash and not an official Microsoft program crash notice.
