That's a good idea but there's nothing to stop you from killing the monsters Unless you edit the npc.tbl so that every single monster that isn't spawned from a boss is invincible And I thought the door was impossible without killing it cause once I tried talking to it and it just said "!?"

Yeah that's probably true. I don't know much about programming but I'm sure that making a new engine shouldn't be too much of a problem for those who know what they're doing but making all the different npcs that are neccesary is something else.

I think it has to do with the fact that the island is crumbling and curly was in the bed in the plantation which is close to the statue chamber which is part of hell. So maybe the entire top part of the island between the last cave and the balcony sort of sinks down and curly sort of wanders...
