You did not specify that the cursor stops moving after a certain point, you only said "you can no longer place tiles because of how the cursor works." This may be untrue but you seem to be getting a little aggressive about this when people are actively trying to help you fix your problem.

An option to change the placement key would be cool but I think pressing a key is a lot better than clicking, especially for mass entity placing and such.
