As Quote was having this mental quandary, he failed to notice the loosely clumped together dirt below him begin to crumble beneath his feet.
As the stump loosened from the ground and he found himself tumbling down a cliff, he found it difficult to actually concern himself with the issue of...
No I mean I deleted the script source folder, and it didn't exist at the time of me posting the issue.
I suppose making a new map, deleting the old map, and just plopping it where the old map was works, but it's just a strange issue.
Oh, right. Thanks.
Edit: That's...strange. The script source folder doesn't exist, but it's still giving the same issues...?
Edit: I suppose I can work around it by making a new map altogether and deleting the old one, but it shouldn't be happening at all...
The editor itself isn't the issue...
So I've encountered... a troubling issue.
Scripts aren't being edited properly. At all.
Despite the fact that all of jj's files are renamed properly, it shows the scripts for the original room (in this case, he's overwriting Mimiga Village)
This is effecting ALL the maps and it's preventing...
I gotta be honest, these "thread titles that don't explain what's actually in the thread" are bugging me. And you're on the CaveStory forum, so what are the odds, you think, that it's been posted already?
It's very impressive design-wise, but more then a little confusing, in my opinion.
There's a very strong feeling of "WHERE DO I GO" in it, which would be a non-issue to someone who knows where to go (the map creator), but confusing to someone who doesn't know where to go.
Honestly, the pipes...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can just rename the map files to replace any room, can you not?
If you're just posting the map files anyway, it doesn't matter which map you edit.
I...will probably use the Take 8 guidelines as a base for my guidelines, then. I'll revise the OP 'til I think it addresses the issues addressed in the Take 8 Guidelines Thread.
Also, I'm allowing everyone to set their own room size, provided they keep it reasonable.
Ah shit I guess you're right, updating the OP.
I feel like with just the map files and the provided map information a dibs list shouldn't be necessary.
Also, I'm unsure about the current map dimension limits. Should they be changed/removed? They DO feel a little small...
I didn't even notice that the OP wasn't correct, but dibs aren't a thing. Just edit any level within the guidelines and post the .pxa, .pxe, .pxm and .tsc of your levels in a zip file.
Huh. I didn't realize Take 8 was a thing.
And I guess you're right about Sues Workshop, that's only there because of my original (bad) idea of tossing around an .exe and editing it.
Damnit Polaris you missed me drawing over a picture of Coffee and making him look horrifying amazing
I'd post it here but I don't want Coffee to strangle me
Oh...god...I feel a little sick looking at that.
I'm going to point out what's wrong with it so you can understand why looking at that makes me physically ill.
1. EVERYTHING IS UNALIGNED.
What the hell is going on here? Why are the blocks so out of place? Are you not placing things on a...
