This isn't about pirating services or the NxEngine, it's about the distribution of the freeware CS content onto a platform which it wasn't meant to be used on. Just because CS is free doesn't mean you're allowed to do whatever you want with the game or its resources.

I think this is where the matter would become illegal. I'm pretty sure Nicalis has ordered a stop on all ports to handhelds, and porting it freely to a handheld where they already have an official paid release seems like just asking for legal trouble, since it's basically piracy at that point...

First 3 notes should be C, C+1octave, G, not C, C+1octave, A. Also, all of the tracks should have their base frequency changed from 1000 to 1500, since toby has the song detuned half a step up (some artists will do this sometimes). And everything from 8 onwards just sounds really really off...

I really hate the 3D soundtrack. It just doesn't sound like Cave Story at all, to me. Too "rave-y" (was never really a fan of k-wix's style of remixing to begin with). I prefer the original, with the wiiware coming a close second.

I'd recommend you get around to the freeware version sooner rather than later, since then you'll be able to see the translation differences between the original fan translation and the official nicalis translation.
