i highly doubt it since nicalis already ported cave story to basically everything. since its already on wiiware and wii u supports wii mode, then i think thats the way to go.

you can already play cave story on your wii u just boot up wii mode and get the wiiware version at least thats what i did

hey, are those sprites youre using in your signature placeholders? because if you do plan making a full-on original game, its not a good idea to take assets from cave story. the main character is basically an edit of quote and grasstown/bushlands tiles are being used.

cave story 2 will just never happen. even if there is, who would be the villain? quote did destroy the core, put a stop to the doctor, and killed ballos.
