Well, y'see, the discord eps aren't even really part of season 2 -- they're sorta in the limbo between seasons 1 and 2. It's very obvious that they were meant to be the wrap-up to season 1, what with the whole point of the eps being the ponies needing to remember all the adventures they've gone...
