I guess it's not so much about manners as it is about the fact that it's pretty unlikely for somebody else to have the same idea for a mod. Much less actually complete it. But also, we're all friends here. And reserving an idea just isn't a good reason to start a thread, imo.

I would advise against that. It's highly unlikely that somebody else would have exactly the same idea as you, and if they did, they're well within their rights to make a mod out of it, as are you. Starting a thread just to reserve an idea for a mod that you (probably) will never finish seems a...

Looks awesome. Also I need something to do besides learn ASM. Because I don't see myself getting good enough at it very soon to help much in that regard.

Re: Show of your custom characters! Use GIMP. A sprite artist of your caliber deserves a decent tool. EDIT: Really, whatever works for you. I just think paint sucks.

Re: Show of your custom characters! As long as it's in the indexed mode, it's all good. Most CS graphics are in indexed (16 colors), but it seems to be able to accept at LEAST 128 colors. This happens to be 32. I tested it, it works fine. EDIT: I don't care if I got ninja'ed by Nox and...
